About ONYX
Respiratory medicine, reimagined as a continuous science.
Hundreds of millions of people live with asthma, yet most are still assessed only during brief clinical visits. ONYX exists to make the respiratory system observable between those moments.
01Founder
Kourosh Khorrami
Kourosh Khorrami is the founder and inventor of ONYX. What began as a research project at the Orange County Science & Engineering Fair grew, over five years, into a multimodal respiratory research platform presented at the California State Science & Engineering Fair and the International Science & Engineering Fair.
He leads the design of the ONYX airflow hardware, the AsthmaNET multimodal modeling research, and the ACMS management platform — and is preparing the program’s first manuscripts for peer review.
“We measure blood pressure and glucose continuously. Breathing deserves the same attention.”
02Vision
A future where every breath informs care.
We envision respiratory health understood as a dynamic, personal signal — where airflow, environment, and biology are interpreted together, and where clinicians and patients share a clear, longitudinal picture. We pursue that future through validated science, not promises.
- 01
Rigor
Scientific claims are earned through evidence and independent review.
- 02
Precision
Every component — physical or computational — is engineered with intent.
- 03
Humanity
Technology exists to serve the people who live with respiratory disease.
- 04
Openness
Progress in medicine is collaborative; we build with researchers and clinicians.
Build the future of respiratory medicine with us.
ONYX collaborates with researchers, clinicians, and industry partners who share a commitment to scientific rigor.
